New lab won’t eat from food bowl and wont go in crate/cage?
2 days ago i got a lab mix 4 month puppy, he seems hungry and will eat food from everywhere but his bowl, He also got fixed on friday and is that wats it. he seems very intimidated by his bowl.
We also got a crate but it looks more like a carrier and he wont stay in it, we have put treats in it, we have a blanket, we put his toys, and his bone but he hasn’t stayed in it. I dont want to force him in and i want him to feel safe. wat should i do
The carrier/crate is in my room so he can watch me sleep and the bowl is on like a connecter with another bowl and he drinks from the water bowl but not from the food bowl, its steel.

My dog also did not like his crate after he was neutered. I think that he associates the vet and the groomer with the crate. I think that he feels safe outside of the crate so I would just let it be. If he decides he wants to go in the crate because he feels safer, then he will go on his own accord.
The food bowl phobia is strange. Have you tried a different bowl? I would not worry. Dogs are complicated creatures and picky after coming home from the vet but so are we after we come home from the hospital. After he feels better, he will probably be himself again. Good luck.
