Do pet radio fences (invisible fences) work well?
I am looking into the different systems of electronic pet fences. I just wanted to know if anyone had different experiences with the different brands…and how well do these fences work?
Please note, I live in a covenant controlled area that most likely would ‘not’ allow a ‘solid’ wood fence or any type of standing wire fence. It has to look pretty. Building a fence is not an option. My neighbors have those white vinyl fences (not high enough to keep a giant breed of dog in).
I have the Pet Safe invisible fence. There are no wires to bury or anything and it works great for us.Our dog has learned its boundaries now and never gets shocked.I think the most important thing to make them work right is to train the dog properly.We took the dog out on a leash and taught her the boundaries before we just let her out on her own.We took our time and didn’t rush things and it sure has payed off.
